Sleaze Ball is the main annual fundraising event for the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade and Festival alongside the Mardi Gras Party.
It marks the beginning of the Sydney summer season, taking place each year on the first weekend in October (the Monday is a public holiday).
The party is Sydney's big dress-up night of the year with massive effort being put into costuming and there is a strong theme each year.
Sleaze Ball 2009 - Game On!
Despite a huge rain storm this year's sporty Game On! turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable Sleaze Balls in years.
Thanks to those of you who came to the party. We were delighted to see so many of you dressed to the nines. The colour and creativity provided by the partygoers is a big part of Sleaze Ball's appeal. From a Scottish man tossing a caber, to polo ponies to big teams of gridiron players, this was a party that saw people dress up more than ever before.
A huge thanks to the DJs and performers who entertained the crowd throughout the night, the volunteers who gave their time to make the party function so well, our business partners and sponsors, the exotic combatants and performers who took part in the Ring and to those who took party in Project Sleazeway.
